Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software that secures Apple's operating systems and protects user data
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential security threats
• Work on low-level system programming, including kernel programming and hypervisor design
• Develop and maintain security features that integrate with Apple's products and services
• Analyze and resolve complex security issues, working with engineers and researchers to identify root causes and implement fixes
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring that all code meets Apple's high standards for quality and security
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and trends, applying this knowledge to inform security decisions and feature development

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong C and systems programming skills
• Understanding of operating system internals and security principles
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with iOS and macOS X, including end-user and developer experience

• Experience with open-source technologies and development communities, such as FreeBSD and Linux
• Familiarity with portion programming and quick experience
