Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive key initiatives for CVS Health using backend technology stacks and building APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software and improve the customer and employee experience.
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable and secure cloud-based applications using GCP.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions to the team.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and mentor junior team members to ensure high-quality code and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and other technical artifacts.
  • Collaborate with QA engineers to ensure that software meets quality standards and is thoroughly tested.
  • Participate in agile development methodologies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Essential Qualifications

  • 1-4 years of experience in agile development, with a strong background in backend technology stacks.
  • Hands-on experience building traditional cloud applications for GCP.
  • Experience in developing digital solutions using big data.
  • Knowledge of optimization technologies to improve the performance, scalability, and usability of digital or display applications.
  • Good understanding of ADA and other regulatory requirements, including PCI, PII, and PHI.
  • Solid experience in application development as a developer, artist, or director.
  • CI/CD pipeline, GIT, Stash, Bit Bucket, Artifactory, Jenkins, etc.

Great Communication Skills

  • The ability to build and maintain effective teams and business relationships; capable of having a big impact.
  • Mentor and train staff and coordinate staff development and training programs.
  • A working understanding of business security.
  • Experienced in web security and application performance.
  • Experience in a large online retail organization is preferred.
  • Previous experience in managing large teams, including recruiting, orientation, training, coaching, supervision, and performance evaluation.
  • Safe and/or agile work experience; a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent is required.
