About the Role: Associate Business Development Representative
We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Associate Business Development Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales development team, you will play a critical role in driving growth and identifying new business opportunities. You will work closely with our Account Executive team to source and connect with prospective customers, understand their needs, and develop strategic solutions to address their challenges. This is an excellent opportunity for a high-energy representative to be on the front line of a high-tech startup and make a meaningful impact on our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with prospective customers via email, phone, and InMail via LinkedIn Sales Navigator to build relationships and identify new business opportunities
- Collaborate with the Account Executive team to generate new business opportunities and drive growth to medium to large size customers of the Matterport Platform
- Maintain high outbound calling activity to qualify opportunities and follow-up with leads, ensuring a strong pipeline of potential customers
- Research assigned accounts or prospective customers to understand their needs and facilitate effective follow-up, providing personalized solutions to address their challenges
- Responsible for on-going prospecting and warm-calling potential clients within assigned sales territory, identifying new business opportunities and expanding our customer base
- Work towards a number of KPIs and targets, including call volumes, setting appointments, emails and mailshots, revenue pipeline, and closed won opportunities, continuously striving to improve performance and drive results
- Proactively seek opportunities to improve the sales and lead management process, providing feedback and recommendations to optimize our sales strategy and enhance customer engagement
Who You Are:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 0-12 months of Inside Sales / Sales Development experience with consumer electronics, hardware, or SaaS software products, with a proven track record of driving growth and identifying new business opportunities
- Ability to tell a compelling story about how product features can address business issues, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact and drive communication across leadership teams within our target verticals
- Experience with CRM tools, Salesforce.com preferred, with the ability to leverage technology to optimize sales performance and customer engagement
- Ability to understand customer's industry and core business challenges, with a strong desire to learn and stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments
- Up to 25% travel required, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
