**Key Responsibilities**

As an Experienced Maintenance Worker - Porter, your primary responsibilities will include:

* Maintaining the physical building and property grounds, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all users
* Cleaning floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming, as well as stripping, sealing, and polishing floors as needed
* Gathering and emptying trash, recycling, and other waste materials
* Washing all windows both inside and outside twice yearly, as well as cleaning and polishing furniture and fixtures
* Steam cleaning or shampooing all carpeting, dusting furniture, walls, machines, and equipment
* Scrubbing and disinfecting bathrooms, urinals, toilet bowls, and other fixtures daily
* Filling all paper dispensers, soap dispensers, and other essential supplies
* Reporting any damage to school property to the Director of Childcare
* Removing snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas during winter months
* Setting up, arranging, and removing decorations, tables, and chairs to prepare for school functions
* Requisitioning supplies and equipment needed for building maintenance
* Being on duty in the building when events are scheduled outside of regular school hours
* Promoting and supporting the environment of positive behavior support
* Serving as a role model for students, maintaining values such as integrity, respect for self and all others, dignity, self-control, and respect
* Attending in-service training sessions, staff meetings, and seminars as needed
* Performing all other assigned duties as required

**Essential Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training in a related field preferred
* At least 2 years of experience in maintenance, custodial, or a related field
* Ability to read and write English fluently
