About the Role

We're seeking an exceptional Math Instructor / Tutor to create an engaging and productive learning experience for students. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work with students, develop your professional skills, and contribute to the community. This part-time role offers flexible hours between 5 and 20 hours/week, allowing you to balance your work and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional instruction/tutoring services to students using the Mathnasium Method??
• Participate in positive interactions with parents and establish a high level of confidence and program value
• Become proficient with digital educational materials & processes
• Teach using the Mathnasium Method??, terminology, and teaching practices, including individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students' progress throughout instructional sessions and work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students
• Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework
• Support the maintenance of a clean & professional learning environment
• Assist with non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• A passion for math and working with students
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
• Ability to balance various ongoing tasks
• Willingness to learn and be trained in the Mathnasium Method??

Priority consideration will be given to applicants with experience teaching in a Mathnasium center.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• Experience working with children
• Familiarity with online tutoring platforms and technology
• Teaching or tutoring experience in a math-related field
