**Job Responsibilities:**
As a Medical Customer Service Representative with arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
* Answering inbound calls and occasionally making outbound calls to assist with medically related inquiries
* Utilizing computer skills for data entry and gathering patient billing and medical information
* Collaborating with carriers to ensure coverage of medication on behalf of the patient
* Providing positive customer service and empathy to patients and healthcare providers
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and communication
**Schedule and Availability:**
We are seeking candidates who are available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, from 8am-10pm CST. You must be able to commit to an 8-hour shift between the hours of operation. As a remote worker, you will have the flexibility to choose your own workspace and schedule, as long as you meet the required availability.
**Requirements:**
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* At least 1 year of recent call center experience (no exceptions)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide positive customer service and empathy
* Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes (preferred)
* High-speed internet with modem access
* A reliable computer and headset for remote work
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Previous experience in the healthcare industry or medical billing
* Certification in medical terminology or a related field
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
