**Key Responsibilities**

As an Experienced Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you'll be responsible for:

* Modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including:
+ Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
+ Resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience
+ Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items
+ Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash and distributing change as requested
+ Processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
* Assisting our pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including:
+ Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions
+ Filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs
+ Verifying medicine is correct and checking for possible interactions
+ Assisting pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow
* Maintaining a clean and well-merchandised store environment, including:
+ Keeping counters and shelves clean and well-merchandised
+ Taking inventory and maintaining records
+ Checking in and pricing merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader
* Performing other duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including:
+ Utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information
+ Ensuring information is entered correctly
+ Reporting prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adhering to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program
+ Handling telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians
+ Processing manual claims for third-party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner
* Assisting with inventory management activities, including:
+ Ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals
+ Maintaining knowledge of Company asset protection techniques
+ Filing claims for warehouse overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods involving Rx drugs
* Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products, including:
+ Alcoholic beverages and tobacco products
* Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise
* Assisting with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures
* Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print, and creative machine
* Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance

**Essential Qualifications**

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling
* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail environment
* Knowledge of pharmacy systems and procedures
* Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
* Bilingual or multilingual skills
