Job Overview

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing data entry tasks, and supporting our pharmacy team in delivering outstanding patient care. As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you will be the face of arenaflex, interacting with clients, patients, and colleagues to ensure a positive and seamless experience. Your expertise in data entry, customer service, and pharmacy operations will be essential in driving our success and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Model and convey a unique and great client experience, ensuring that customers receive considerate, fair, and professional service
  • Register sales on designated sales registers, provide clients with efficient checkout services, and process transactions accurately
  • Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, including utilizing pharmacy systems to acquire patient and medication data and process prescriptions
  • Engage clients and patients by greeting them, offering help with items and services, and resolving customer issues to ensure a positive experience
  • Recommend items for sale to clients and suggest upsell or companion items, promoting arenaflex products and services
  • Maintain counters and retirements clean and well-promoted, take inventory, and keep records up-to-date
  • Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Director, Staff Pharmacist, and Senior Manager, including using pharmacy systems to enter patient and medication data, filling prescriptions, and verifying medication accuracy
  • Report medication errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to arenaflex policies and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program
  • Handle calls that don't require personal attention from the pharmacist, including those to physicians, and process manual claims for third-party program prescription services
  • Support and assist the Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unloading, checking, and storing shipments of medications
  • Ensure compliance with state and local regulations regarding controlled substances and maintain knowledge of arenaflex asset protection methods

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (except in Puerto Rico)
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours
  • Strong numerical abilities, including counting, measuring, and weighing prescriptions
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control
  • PTCB certification (or willingness to obtain)

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least six months of experience in a retail environment
  • Previous work experience with arenaflex or a similar organization
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
