Key Responsibilities

• Data Input and Maintenance: Accurately input, update, and maintain information into arenaflex’s enterprise database systems, ensuring consistency, completeness, and adherence to data governance standards.
• Pipeline Support: Assist in building and maintaining robust, flexible data pipelines that support the ingestion, transformation, and storage of large-volume datasets powering marketing operations across arenaflex digital properties.
• ETL Process Participation: Contribute to the planning, execution, and upkeep of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes that move data seamlessly across systems and platforms.
• Cloud Platform Operations: Work with leading cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to ensure data storage, processing, and analytics workflows run efficiently and securely.
• Database Management: Interact with relational databases (such as Azure SQL) and NoSQL databases (such as Cassandra) to ensure data is properly stored, indexed, and retrievable.
• Data Modeling Support: Assist in designing and implementing data models that enable efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis of structured and unstructured data.
• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams including QA, Product Management, Program Management, and Partner Operations to ensure data quality and pipeline reliability.
• Real-Time Data Processing: Support real-time message processing initiatives using tools such as Apache Kafka to enable low-latency data flows.
• Containerization Initiatives: Participate in creating and deploying large-scale, containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes on public cloud environments.
• On-Call Rotation: Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations to troubleshoot and resolve production data issues in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing processes, tools, and systems, contributing to arenaflex’s culture of innovation and operational excellence.

Essential Qualifications

• Demonstrated aptitude in data engineering concepts, database design, ETL processes, and data mining methodologies.
• Proficiency in working with data technologies including SQL, Python, Spark, Scala, Hadoop, and related tools and frameworks.
• Experience with ETL orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
• Strong working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Azure SQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra).
• Hands-on experience with real-time message processing systems, particularly Apache Kafka.
• Experience in designing and implementing data models for efficient storage and retrieval at scale.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
