About the Role

We're seeking an experienced and motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team as a Verizon Retail Customer Service Representative. This is a remote opportunity that requires a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas to drive success. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, generating retail sales, and promoting Verizon's products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate Retail Sales: Use your passion for cutting-edge technology and exceptional customer service to expand the Verizon network.
  • Learn and Uncover Customer Needs: Create connections and ask the right questions to understand customers' needs and preferences.
  • Position Product Insights and Solution Recommendations: Provide customers with a complete top-down sales solution by positioning product insights and solution recommendations.
  • Closing Sales: Use phenomenal communication skills to fulfill customer needs with simple and intuitive tech solutions.
  • Continuous Development: Develop yourself through ongoing training and up-skill in operational functions across merchandising and inventory.
  • Refine Sales Skills: Refine your sales skills through outbound calls to current Verizon customers interested in our products and services.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • High School Diploma or GED: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Work Experience: One or more years of work experience is preferred.
  • Availability: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (you'll know your schedule four weeks in advance).
  • Flexibility: Openness to pick up additional shifts and earn more income, typically during the summer months, November through December, and/or during peak vacation periods.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, having one or more of the following qualifications will make you a stronger candidate:

  • Commission-Based Environment Experience: Experience working in a commission-based environment.
  • Sales Experience: Demonstrated sales experience communicating with customers to find solutions.
  • Customer Service Experience: Customer service experience.
