Job Overview:
As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex web applications that require expertise in both frontend and backend technologies. You will work closely with our client's cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize their software solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, security, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Frontend Development:
Develop and maintain responsive and user-friendly interfaces using Angular.

Implement reusable components, services, and modules that adhere to Angular best practices.

Backend Development:
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using PHP and Node.js.

Optimize application performance, scalability, and security across the stack.

Work with databases, primarily MySQL, and ensure data integrity and security.

Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features and products.

Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to ensure code quality

Contribute to technical documentation and share knowledge with the team

Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Experience with Angular for frontend development

Experience with Node.js for building RESTful APIs and microservices

Experience with PHP and frameworks like Laravel or Symfony for building RESTful APIs

Experience with Ionic framework for mobile development is a plus

Understanding of SQL and relational databases

Experience with version control systems, especially Git

Experience working with GIS, preferably using Leaflet

Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization technologies is a plus

Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Empathic and effective communication (both written and verbal)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Open and willing to patiently assist junior team members, as well as guide and support community volunteers and users

Location:
Residing in Uganda/Kenya is a plus, but not a strict requirement.
