Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is looking to add to their Finance Strategic Initiatives team with an opportunity for a Finance Business Process Analyst. This position is responsible for supporting mid and senior level Business Analysts in analyzing, designing, and optimizing financial business processes and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Document current processes and workflows, creating detailed process maps and reports
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and tools
  • Assist in developing training materials and providing user support for financial systems and processes
  • Collect and analyze data to support decision-making and process improvements
  • Maintain accurate documentation of processes, system configurations, and changes
  • Support tracking and reporting of lean and transformation projects
  • Maintain and support periodic reviews of the Finance Department business unit recovery and continuity program
  • Support tracking and maintenance of the Finance Department policies and procedures within the document management system (PolicyTech)
  • Coordinate meetings related to transformation initiatives, ensuring schedules are aligned and objectives are met

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in management information systems, finance, business administration or related field
  • FBP I: 0-2 years of relevant work experience in business process analysis or system implementation
  • FBP II: 3-5 years of relevant work experience in business process analysis or system implementation
  • Basic to Proficient knowledge of ERP systems (Workday, Adaptive Planning or similar)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-orientated and organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Project management experience required, PMP certification a plus
