As a Financial Analyst on the Pinion Risk Management team, you’ll analyze financial data and support decision-making for dairy farms, contributing to their growth and success.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and Interpret Data: Collect, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data to support decision-making and growth initiatives for dairy clients
  • Deliver Accurate Reporting: Prepare financial reports (income statements, balance sheets, budgets, benchmarking) and provide actionable insights
  • Collaborate for Impact: Work closely with team members to identify process improvements and enhance efficiency
  • Support Growth: Provide timely analytics to drive regional and national expansion strategies
  • Adapt and Innovate: Learn new tools, techniques, and methodologies to strengthen analytical capabilities
  • Engage with Clients: Participate in on-site visits to dairy farms up to twice a week, with limited overnight travel

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Agribusiness, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and lookup functions
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software
  • Experience with farm and production management software (e.g., DairyComp, FeedWatch) is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail

  • Demonstrated interest in agriculture, with preference for experience in ag and/or dairy operations
  • High integrity
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting findings

  • Ability and willingness to do day travel to rural locations, including dairy farms
  • Limited overnight travel
  • Valid driver's license
