They are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support financial operations through budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and in-depth financial analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the budgeting process, collaborating with business leaders and department heads to ensure accurate and realistic financial planning
  • Prepare and update financial forecasts regularly, providing insights into any potential risks or opportunities
  • Work with cross-functional teams and business analysts to align financial goals with operational strategies
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial modeling
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze business performance against budget and forecasts
  • Assist with compiling data and developing financial models to support business initiatives, strategic planning, and investment decisions
  • Provide scenario analysis to assess potential outcomes and their impact on financial performance, as well as forward looking strategic projections
  • Maintain and manage financial dashboards and address questions from business leaders
  • Serve as a key partner to other departments, providing financial insights and recommendations to drive business performance
  • Support the executive team in decision-making by delivering clear and actionable written and/or verbal financial insights
  • Continuously assess and improve financial reporting and forecasting processes
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial operations and enhance efficiency
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and provide back-up support to other Finance team members as needed

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required
  • 1+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related field
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling techniques and experience working in Power BI
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial reporting
  • Proven ability to think strategically, analyze data, and communicate financial insights effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
  • Master's degree or CPA designation
  • Understanding of commercial real estate and mortgage banking
  • Previous experience working in Microsoft Dynamics GP and Salesforce experience helpful, not required
