Opportunity

We are seeking an FP&A Analyst to join our growing finance team and support critical financial planning, reporting, and analysis processes. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a foundational understanding of accounting and finance concepts who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to execute with precision across a wide range of financial tasks, from data management and reporting to budget support and spend analysis. This is a high-visibility role with meaningful exposure to senior leadership and broad opportunity for growth as the organization scales.

 

Key Responsibilities

Support monthly financial close and reporting processes, including data pulls, actuals compilation, and presentation updates across multiple departments and operating units

Perform vendor and invoice analysis to support variance explanations and cost management decisions, including spend reconciliation by category and supplier

Maintain and update financial reporting templates and PowerPoint presentations as actuals and forecasts are refreshed each period

Validate headcount rosters and position data against HR systems to ensure accuracy of budget and forecast inputs across multiple scenarios

Support the annual budget process by owning template population, assumption tracking, submission consolidation, and prior year actuals reference packages across departments

Assist in maintaining chart of accounts mapping and cost center documentation

Execute clearly defined, repeatable financial workflows with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Identify and flag data quality issues in source systems and reporting outputs, escalating discrepancies with clear documentation

Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned by the FP&A team

 

Specific Skills/Abilities

Proficiency in Excel including lookup functions (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH), pivot tables, and data cleaning across multiple source files

Foundational understanding of GAAP accounting principles, including accruals, prepaids, amortization, and capital vs. operating expense classification, with the ability to apply these concepts in a financial planning and reporting context

Attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy, version control, and clean documentation across all deliverables

Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment

Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to flag issues and summarize findings concisely

Self-starter mindset with the ability to follow established processes independently and proactively identify when something looks off

 

Skills and Requirements

Experience in or exposure to capital-intensive industries, real estate, infrastructure, or project-based accounting environments preferred

Prior experience supporting a budget or forecasting process, preferred

Familiarity with ERP or financial reporting systems (NetSuite experience a plus)

 

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field

1-3 years of FP&A, financial analysis, or accounting experience; candidates with relevant internship experience and strong accounting coursework will be considered
