Food Content Writer — SEO, Pinterest, WordPress

We're a growing food content brand and agency looking for a detail-oriented content writer to join our team as a contractor. This is a remote, flexible position.

What you'll be doing:
• Writing and updating recipe blog posts optimized for SEO
• Conducting keyword research to inform content strategy
• Writing alt text and image file names for all post images
• Optimizing content for Pinterest search
• Publishing and formatting posts directly in WordPress
• Following brand voice guidelines for multiple food creators

What we're looking for:
• Experience writing SEO-optimized content for food or lifestyle blogs
• Solid understanding of on-page SEO (keyword research, heading structure, internal linking, alt text)
• Comfortable working in WordPress (Gutenberg or Classic)
• Familiarity with Pinterest as a search platform
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable, communicates proactively
• All content must be original and human-written — no AI-generated copy

Details:

Contract/freelance position
• $18–$19/hour
• Remote
• Flexible hours — we care about output, not when you work
