Agency Workers will receive a W2 from the staffing agency reporting their earnings for tax purposes.</em></span></p><h3><span>Overview</span></h3><div dir="ltr"><span>PEOPLE is seeking a news-savvy </span><span>Freelance Weekend Programming Editor</span><span> to help grow our expanding newsletter program as well as our programming and interactive surfaces on </span><a href="http://people.com"><span>PEOPLE.com</span></a><span> and the PEOPLE app.
The role blends editorial judgment with audience development sensibilities and is critical to the weekend operations for PEOPLE.</span></div><h3><span>Key Responsibilities</span></h3><ul><li><div dir="ltr"><span>Write, build and deploy PEOPLE newsletters, including breaking news and app newsletters</span></div></li><li><div dir="ltr"><span>Program the </span><a href="http://people.com"><span>people.com</span></a><span> and PEOPLE app homepage</span></div></li><li><div dir="ltr"><span>Write and deploy notifications for PEOPLE content for the app push notifications, Apple News notifications, and browser notifications</span></div></li><li><div dir="ltr"><span>Collaborate with the PEOPLE editorial teams to make sure news is getting promoted quickly and efficiently</span></div></li><li><div dir="ltr"><span>Analyze analytics (real-time and historical) and report to programming and edit teams on how content is performing on programming channels</span></div></li><li><div dir="ltr"><span>Fully manage weekend coverage for PEOPLE programming on your own on the weekends</span></div></li></ul><h3><span>Hours</span></h3><ul><li><div dir="ltr"><span>Friday - Tuesday from 12 noon - 8 pm ET</span></div></li><li><div dir="ltr"><span>Weekdays worked are open for discussion but you must be able to commit to working Saturdays and Sundays.</span></div></li></ul><h3><span>Qualifications</span></h3><ul><li><div dir="ltr"><span>1–3 years of experience in digital media, editorial or related field.
