【Full Remote】Bilingual Technical / Cloud Architect (AI Solutions & Automation)

One of our top clients, a well-established company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, is currently looking for a Bilingual (English & Japanese Business Level) Technical / Cloud Architect to support the design, guidance, and continuous improvement of AI-driven solutions across multiple projects.

In this role, you will work closely with engineering teams, data scientists, and business stakeholders to design solution architectures, evaluate technologies, and improve automation capabilities while ensuring scalability, maintainability, reliability, and cost efficiency.

The successful candidate will contribute to cloud architecture design, DevOps best practices, infrastructure automation, and AI-enabled workflows. You will also help evaluate emerging technologies and support the adoption of practical AI solutions that improve engineering productivity and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Architecture Design & Technical Leadership

Support teams in designing and reviewing AI and cloud-based solution architectures

Design scalable, secure, maintainable, and cost-effective systems aligned with business requirements

Define and review non-functional requirements including performance, reliability, security, observability, and cost optimization

Provide technical guidance on system architecture, integration patterns, cloud services, and deployment strategies

Review architectural decisions and identify opportunities for improvement

Cloud & Infrastructure

Guide engineering teams in utilizing cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure

Support infrastructure design, deployment strategies, and production readiness activities

Promote infrastructure best practices including automation, consistency, maintainability, and operational excellence

Support cloud resource optimization and infrastructure cost management

Contribute to cloud governance and operational standards

Automation, DevOps & Infrastructure as Code

Design and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes

Drive automation across build, testing, deployment, monitoring, and operational workflows

Define and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approaches

Improve engineering productivity through repeatable and reliable automation patterns

Promote DevOps best practices across engineering teams

AI Solutions & Agent-Based Workflows

Support the design, deployment, and maintenance of AI-powered solutions

Evaluate tools, frameworks, and technologies related to AI applications and agent-based automation

Collaborate with teams to introduce practical AI-assisted workflows where business value can be achieved

Research and validate emerging AI technologies, models, and approaches before wider adoption

Contribute to AI-driven process improvement initiatives

Cross-Functional Technical Advisory

Act as a technical advisor across multiple teams and projects

Clearly communicate architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Create and maintain architecture documentation, standards, templates, and reference architectures

Help teams balance delivery speed, technical quality, operational stability, and cost efficiency

Support engineering excellence initiatives across the organization

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Strong experience with automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code

Experience designing solution architectures and providing technical leadership for complex systems

Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both engineering teams and business stakeholders

Ability to evaluate trade-offs involving architecture, cost, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and operational complexity

Experience conducting structured technical research and evaluating new technologies

Business-level English communication skills

Business-level Japanese communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Strong AWS experience

Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining AI-based solutions

Experience with agent-based systems, workflow orchestration, or AI-driven automation

Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native architectures

Experience designing observability, monitoring, and operational support patterns

Experience supporting multiple engineering teams or serving as a cross-functional technical advisor

Experience defining technical standards, reusable architecture patterns, and engineering guidelines

Language Requirements

English

Ability to actively participate in technical discussions and collaborate with multinational teams.

Japanese

Ability to communicate effectively with domestic stakeholders, explain technical decisions clearly, and facilitate collaboration across teams.
