Position

This position will report to the President & CEO and will be responsible for developing and growing Spectrum’s domestic and international revenues. The focus is 1) exceeding sales targets for Spectrum’s domestic and international business, 2) growth and development of sales team members, 3) improve the quality of on-site distributor/customer visits and all tradeshow activities 4) ensure sales metrics are executed on a monthly basis, 5) execute a customized sales process for each market segment and 6) ensuring each sales team member has sufficient sales and product training to be successful.

Duties & Responsibilities

tLeads and directs all members of the sales team; perpetuate a sales focused culture driven by results

tCustomize, implement and track individual sales processes for each business segment

tProvide daily coaching to individual sales team members and provide constructive feedback on improvement areas to maintain consistency in customer communication

tImprove quality of daily sales activities; phone calls, emails, trade show activities, customer visits.

tCreate and execute training plans for the following areas: sales fundamentals, product knowledge, trade show effectiveness and distributor/customer visit protocol

tEnsure customer activities and follow up actions are documented accurately within the CRM system

tDevelop, maintain and grow relationships with key industry contacts

tTravel with each team member to provide coaching on trade show or customer visit activities

tSupport product launches of new products, develop plans to speed product adoption through target customers

tUnderstand and respond to trends, markets and products; voice industry needs and gaps internally

tDevelop segment sales goals, annual business plans and monthly action plans

tReview sales pipeline data regularly and provide revenue forecasts by segment

tWeekly reporting of all activities related to the Sales Team

tRepresent the company at select trade shows or association events

tManage the budget for the Sales Team

Requirements & Qualifications

tBachelor's degree required, MS or MBA preferred.

tDemonstrated success developing and growing a sales team.

tRelevant Industry experience and understanding of key markets preferred

tMinimum of 5 years successful, results driven sales or sales management experience

tDemonstrated skills in achieving sales goals to end customer and through distributors

tPrior experience managing and motivating sales teams

tAbility to understand complex or technical concepts and communicate them to customers

tAbility to effectively implement sales strategies

tAbility to interface and demonstrate leadership both internally and externally

tHigh-energy self-starter as well as collaborative team player

tProven ability to effectively communicate cross functionally within company and with customers

tDemonstrated commitment to building strong business relationships with customer

tEffective, strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written

tHigh level of accountability

tCandidate should possess strong analytical skills, critical thinking skills and problem solving skills

tComputer literacy and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software is required.

tTravel up to 40% with sales team. This is not a position for working remotely.

Compensation: $120,000 to $150,000 base salary; 30% bonus/variable
