Sedgman Canada Ltd. is hiring a Graduate Mechanical Engineer for their Vancouver, B.C. office. The selected candidate will provide mechanical engineering support to the design and engineering team, helping deliver high-quality projects to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mechanical design support through the engineering phases PEA, PFS, FS, conceptual design, front-end engineering and detailed design
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in mining processing technology and recommend implementation of new equipment or processes
  • Additional duties as required – may be required to work on client sites

Skills

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)
  • 0 – 3 years of work experience
  • Must be eligible to register with the EGBC or will have their P.Eng EGBC designation
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering, equipment, and technologies
  • Good communication skills with well-developed written and oral skills
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Must be available to travel to Client sites; may be seconded to work on projects, either temporarily relocated, or placed on a rotational roster
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship
  • Mechanical design experience preferred
