Position Summary

The Applications Software Developer supports GSA’s internal HR systems by designing, coding, testing, and documenting high quality applications across web and mobile platforms. This role collaborates closely with designers, content teams, and technical stakeholders to deliver reliable, maintainable software that meets HR system needs.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Write, modify, and debug application code for HR web and mobile systems.
Translate design specifications into functional, efficient software solutions.
Collaborate with designers, content producers, and technical teams to support system enhancements.
Test, troubleshoot, and document software to ensure quality and maintainability.
Support ongoing improvements, integration, and modernization of HR applications.
Apply strong technical judgment and creativity to solve development challenges.

QualificationsMinimum Education & Experience Requirements

US Citizen
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field

Minimum of 2 years of experience in application development
Demonstrable knowledge of new tools and technologies supporting innovative application development
