About this role

As our future Head of User Acquisition, you will lead Yubo's user acquisition strategy globally, with a strong focus on performance marketing, creative strategy, ASO and channel diversification.

Your mission is clear: improve acquisition efficiency in our core markets, reduce cost per registration, increase ROAS, and help us move toward a healthier media mix, with data to back it up. Spoiler alert, if you think it’s as simple as “more spend=good”, think again.

You will manage a team of specialists across User Acquisition, creative strategists, all while partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Brand Marketing. The role is both strategic and hands-on: setting direction, improving execution, and making sure we invest in the right levers with the right level of rigor.

This role should suit someone who has already managed significant budgets for a consumer app, knows the specifics of US mobile acquisition, and is comfortable balancing performance discipline with creative ambition. We are looking for a strong leader who can build a smart, durable acquisition machine.

Your responsibilities

  • Own Yubo's global user acquisition strategy across paid, organic, ASO and emerging channels

    Manage and optimize a multi-million dollar monthly performance marketing budget across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Snap, Google, Reddit, Apple Search Ads and other relevant channels

    Improve acquisition efficiency by reducing cost per registration and increasing ROAS in core markets

    Scale acquisition strategies across 10+ countries, with particular attention to US campaigns

    Lead media buying strategy, bidding, audience targeting, creative testing, and budget allocation, paying particular attention to creative performance.

    Partner with Brand Marketing to strengthen ASO and ensure paid and organic efforts work together coherently

    Develop content and creative frameworks that support performance while staying aligned with Yubo's positioning and Gen Z audience

    Explore and validate new acquisition channels to reduce reliance on paid media and build a stronger marketing mix

    Build reporting frameworks and measurement approaches to assess campaign performance, incrementality, and investment efficiency

    Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to improve funnel performance and support smarter decision-making

    Lead, coach, and grow a high performing team across user acquisition

      Who you are

      • 10+ years of experience in user acquisition, growth marketing or performance marketing for a B2C consumer app (social, gaming, or dating preferred).

        Proven track record of efficiently scaling paid acquisition across multiple markets with a data-driven approach

        You are experienced in managing a significant monthly marketing budget, particularly in the US market

        Deep expertise in Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, Apple Search Ads, and programmatic advertising

        Experience with incrementality testing, attribution models, and data-driven decision-making.

        Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing.

        Leadership experience building & managing high-performing growth teams.

        You understand the impact of GDPR, iOS ATT, and Google Privacy Sandbox on acquisition strategy

        You have a strong sense of what makes Gen Z creative effective and how to scale it without making it feel manufactured

        Within a month, you will

        • Meet your team and key cross functional partners across Data, Product, Engineering, and Brand Marketing

          Review current acquisition performance, channel mix, market structure, creative approach, and reporting setup

          Identify the main efficiency levers, key risks, and obvious gaps in measurement or execution

          Within 2 months, you will

          • Establish a 12 month plan to scale User Acquisition

            Align creative strategy with Brand Marketing and product strategy.

            Within 6 months, you will

            • Increase the monthly spend on US User Acquisition in line with company objectives

              Increase the level of new users by 50% within company guidelines in terms of ROAS, cost per signup, age, gender balance…
