We are currently seeking Online Instructors for our Health Care Assistant (HCA) Program.

Position Details

Location: Online / Remote

Employment Type: Part-Time, Contract

Start Date: May 2026

Schedule: Monday to Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Compensation

LPN: $34–$38 per hour

RN: $41–$44 per hour

Qualifications 

Current, unrestricted full registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)

Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners (e.g., completion of a Provincial Instructor Diploma or equivalent education, or previous teaching experience supported by satisfactory references, performance evaluations, and/or student course evaluations)

Two or more years of full-time Canadian nursing experience (1 year = 1,400 hours), with strong knowledge of the Canadian health care system, the roles and responsibilities of healthcare team members and current policies and procedures within residential and community care settings

Nursing experience must include:

Working with older adults with complex health needs

Experience or orientation (e.g., shadow shifts) in home support and multi-level/complex care

Previous experience teaching and/or studying in an online learning environment; experience using Moodle as a learning management system is preferred
