The Help Desk Technician will provide technical assistance to customers, troubleshoot issues, and ensure effective communication while maintaining a customer-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure software and hardware
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance
  • Perform necessary and appropriate troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
  • Walk the customer through the problem-solving process
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in logs
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
  • Image/Re-image machines as necessary
  • Be available to work overtime when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills

  • Help Desk experience
  • Possessing technical skills (Windows environment)
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Understanding the problem, troubleshooting and explaining the solution
  • Customer-oriented personality demonstrating patience with users
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency
  • Proven experience as a help desk technician or other IT customer support role
  • Tech savvy with working knowledge of Windows business environments, automation products, databases and remote control
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Proficiency in English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High School Diploma
