We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable High School Biology Teacher to inspire and educate students in the sciences. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for biology, strong instructional skills, and the ability to foster a stimulating learning environment. Prior experience with curriculum development and integrating learning technology is highly valued.

Duties
• Design and implement comprehensive biology curricula aligned with educational standards.
• Develop lesson plans that incorporate innovative teaching methods and utilize learning technology to enhance student engagement.
• Prepare students for standardized testing through targeted review sessions and practice assessments.
• Mentor and support students academically and personally, offering tutoring or additional assistance.

Qualifications

NY Area
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related field; Master’s degree or higher preferred.
• Valid teaching certification/license for high school science education.
• Skills in instructional design, curriculum development, standardized testing preparation, tutoring, mentoring, and educational research are beneficial.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
