HR Business Partner, Operations - San Diego
Athletic Brewing Co. is on a mission to revolutionize the beer industry with innovative non-alcoholic beverages. They are seeking a passionate HR Business Partner to support operations, build relationships with production leaders, and enhance employee relations while ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Responsibilities
- Reports to the HR Manager responsible for Production and Operations oversight. Assists with HR support at San Diego facilities as well as evening support at Milford Brewery
- Build relationships with Production leaders and team members to understand their needs, challenges, and objectives with a level of integrity
- Coach and support people leaders and team members on employee relations matters, bringing resolution in line with Athletic Brewing Core Values and standards of conduct
- Assist management and team members in resolving conflicts, work-related questions, or issues to maintain positive employee relations and a union-free environment
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes, including interviews, onboarding and assisting with orientation
- Assist with the creation and updating of department leveling
- Assistant with performance management cycle and career development opportunities
- Support employee relations activities, including handling employee inquiries and resolving minor issues and corrective actions
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity
- Field questions from team members regarding an array of concerns
- Collaborate with key cross-functional partners such as Payroll and Safety
- Ensure compliance and adherence to Athletic's internal policies and procedures and external regulations and laws
- Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice
- Manage the LMS system and partner with internal leaders to create, update, and maintain training materials
- Assist with needs assessments to identify training gaps and development opportunities within the organization
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging and effective training programs using a variety of methods (e.g., in-person workshops, online modules, webinars, on-the-job training)
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement
- Maintain training records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Stay up-to-date on current training trends and best practices
- Create and maintain training materials and resources
Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources with a focus on employee relations required
- Extensive knowledge of California labor laws required
- Solid computer skills are required with experience utilizing HR systems
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources with a focus on training and development preferred
- CPG Industry/Beverage, Supply Chain, Operations, and fast-growing companies are all valued
- SHRM-CP or aPHR certification a plus
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) a plus
- Available to work nights/weekends from time to time a plus
