Informatics Education Specialist I - Lab
ECU Health is a mission-driven academic health care system serving over 1.4 million people in eastern North Carolina. They are seeking an Informatics Education Specialist who will support and train end users on clinical systems, ensuring optimal use of clinical technology and developing educational resources.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining and troubleshooting the training environment
- Developing educational resources (e.g., tip sheets, e-learning modules) that are thorough and accurate
- Working administratively with learning platforms
- Training various user groups (e.g., end users, super users, credentialed trainers)
- Reporting training metrics
- Providing updates to key stakeholders
- Participating in rotating 24x7 on call support
- Supporting go-live implementations (which may include travel to various ECU Health sites)
Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent (or higher) is required
- Zero + years of experience in curriculum/education resource development or direct experience in relevant field required
- Bachelor's degree or higher in education, nursing, information technology, allied health professions, business, instructional design or related
- Formal teaching experience
- One year demonstrated EHR experience
- Experience as an Epic Super User
- Obtains and maintains one or more certifications or accreditations as Epic Principal Trainer, as assigned
