Job Overview:
The Inside Sales Associate role within Fortrea Consulting is responsible for generating business opportunity leads that achieve quarterly and annual goals, managing inbound client interactions, and supporting business development efforts across Fortrea’s Consulting organization. This role requires strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills to ensure seamless client engagement and internal coordination.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Business Development
Promote Fortrea Consulting’s capabilities

Handle inbound client calls

Use social media to engage clients digitally

Generate leads from literature, industry events, peer-reviewed sources, and social selling techniques to achieve quarterly and annual lead generation targets as per the sales incentive plan

Qualify leads and escalate leads to Consulting Service Line leaders or Principal Consultants

Identify cross-selling opportunities and upselling services within Consulting when applicable

Submit weekly sales activity reports to management

Maintain accurate records in SFDC, including opportunity management

Travel internationally to support the business, as needed (5%-15%)

Client Relationships
Develop a client call cycle aligned with sales objectives

Maintain regular contact with clients to nurture relationships

Set and manage client expectations effectively

Organize and host client visits as needed

People
Support Consulting Service Line leaders or Principal Consultants by conducting research to provide competitive intelligence and market insights

Collaborate with Marketing, subject matter experts, and operations to support successful client discussions

Coordinate with internal teams to ensure high customer satisfaction

Practice & Company Initiatives
Provide input to processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness

Offer insight into innovative techniques for lead generation

Provide feedback on current process effectiveness and areas for improvement

And all other duties as needed or assigned

Qualifications (Minimum Required):
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business. Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements

Language Skills Required: Speaking: English Required, Writing/Reading: English Required

Broad industry knowledge or scientific background preferred

Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills

Team player mentality

0-2 years of sales or relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and internal collaboration

Physical Demands / Work Environment:
Remote work

Ability to work in an upright and/or stationary position for 6-8 hours per day

Varied hours may be required to participate in meetings across various time zones outside core working hours

Occasionally work extended hours to adhere to deliverable timelines or attend client meetings

Often work with frequent interruptions and changes

High degree of global participation within Teams and conference call assignments

Strong ability to work unsupervised yet still managing priorities of regional and global assignments in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Pay Range: $45,000-$50,000 (The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity)
