Position Summary

The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing and developing engaging, practical, and scalable learning solutions that drive business performance and employee growth across the organization.

This role creates high-impact learning experiences—including eLearning, video-based training, blended programs, instructor-led materials, and performance support tools—that enable team members and leaders to build skills, improve execution, and grow into next-level roles.

Working closely with Talent Development, Technical Training, HR partners, and Operations leaders, the Instructional Designer translates business needs into learner-centered solutions that are easy to access, easy to apply, and effective in the field.

Key Responsibilities

Learning Design & Content Development

Design and develop end-to-end learning experiences aligned to business priorities and operational needs

Build engaging eLearning courses using Articulate Storyline and Rise 360

Create high-quality video-based learning content, including system walkthroughs, process demonstrations, and scenario-based training

Utilize tools such as Camtasia, Loom, and Vyond to produce instructional and animated video content

Develop supporting materials including facilitator guides, participant workbooks, job aids, toolkits, and learning pathways

Apply adult learning principles to ensure content is practical, relevant, and immediately applicable

Ensure all learning materials are clear, concise, visually engaging, and aligned with brand standards

Program & Curriculum Support

Support onboarding, leadership development, manager readiness, and technical training programs

Partner with subject matter experts to simplify complex topics into actionable, easy-to-understand learning

Contribute to structured learning paths and role-based curricula (e.g., new hire, manager development, technical training)

Maintain consistency and quality across all learning programs

Learning Technology & Delivery

Build, upload, and manage learning content within the LMS (Cornerstone OnDemand preferred)

Configure curricula, learning objects, and assignments aligned to program design

Blend self-paced, virtual, instructor-led, and on-the-job learning experiences

Leverage LMS reporting, learner feedback, and performance data to continuously improve learning effectiveness

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, Operations, and business leaders to identify learning needs and priorities

Recommend scalable, efficient learning solutions that support a fast-growing, multi-location organization

Continuously improve content based on learner feedback, business outcomes, and operational performance

Stay current on instructional design trends, tools, and emerging learning technologies

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

3–5 years of instructional design or learning experience

Hands-on experience developing eLearning and blended learning programs

Experience using Articulate Storyline and/or Rise 360

Experience creating instructional video content (screen recordings, walkthroughs, or training videos)

Strong writing, editing, and visual design skills

Preferred

Experience with Vyond or similar animation tools for scenario-based or explainer videos

Experience with video editing tools such as Camtasia, Loom, or Adobe Premiere Pro

Experience working within Cornerstone OnDemand (LMS administration or content deployment)

Experience in frontline, retail, or multi-unit operations environments

Experience designing leadership, manager, or technical training programs

Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design platforms
