This internship is ideal for students pursuing degrees in fields such as Business, IT, Public Administration, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, etc. who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment.
Job Functions & Responsibilities
The Operations Specialist Intern will assist with client and partner communications, data analysis, marketing research, coding, administrative support, etc.and key operational functions necessary to establish and grow the business, including:
Government & SBA Registrations:
Training on registering with federal agencies and contractors as a new supplier
Assisting with the completion of applications for SBA small business designations
Operational Setup & Software Selection:
Researching and selecting accounting, procurement, and ticketing software
Assisting with the evaluation and selection of CRM software
Helping set up an ordering and procurement process
Building Industry & Partner Relationships:
Establishing relationships with technology distributors and solution providers
Connecting with procurement and technical buyers in federal agencies
Assisting with progressing certifications with manufacturer partners
Compliance & Business Development:
Understanding compliance requirements for doing business with the federal government
Supporting general operations and business strategy development
Qualifications
Must have lived in a HUBZone for at least six months (verification required)
Actively enrolled in a college or university program (Associates, Bachelors, or Masters)
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
