Inventory Accounts Coordinator
Lewis Representation LLC is a well-established accounting firm based in Gales Ferry, Connecticut, seeking an Inventory Accounts Coordinator. The role involves managing inventory-related accounting tasks for various restaurant establishments and a motel, including taking inventory, processing vendor invoices, and liaising with staff members regarding inventory queries.
Responsibilities
- Taking inventory in-person at the restaurants and at the motel, which will involve travel around the Mystic area of Eastern Connecticut
- Working in-office using MarginEdge, the primary inventory tool for the restaurants and motel
- Overseeing internal transfers between the restaurants and the motel
- Organising and categorizing the shipments of products to the restaurants and motel
- Continuously updating the item and ingredient cost of each menu item at the restaurants within MarginEdge, which involves a keen and updated understanding of sources and costs of ingredients
- Processing vendor invoices
- Liaising between client and Lewis Representation LLC staff members regarding inventory-related queries
Skills
- Minimum one year of accounting and/or inventory experience in a hospitality (or another inventory-related) environment
- Willingness to work in and adapt to several different professional environments, as opposed to a single office
- Good communication skills
- Experienced multitasker, with an ability to triage tasks effectively according to levels of urgency
- Experience using Excel
- Experience with MarginEdge, the primary accounting tool for this position
