ISSS Quality Assurance Analyst
Employment type: Full-time, exempt
Location: Remote (US-Based)
- Perform functional, regression, and end-to-end testing of product features and workflows.
- Conduct full validation to ensure product functionality aligns with real-world immigration and international services processes.
- Re-test or double-test issues across the full workflow, not limited to the scope of a single ticket.
- Identify, reproduce, and document defects with clear bug reports and reproduction steps.
- Validate fixes and verify resolution of previously reported issues.
- Assist with the development and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for new and existing functionality.
- Document test execution and results in test management platforms such as TestRail or similar tools.
- Create and assist with maintain release notes, QA documentation, and internal testing guides, and knowledge transfer with internal stakeholders (solutions/sales, support, etc.)
- Help identify gaps in test coverage and recommend improvements to testing processes.
- Collaborate with product managers to ensure user stories accurately reflect domain workflows and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with developers and QA engineers to clarify requirements, hand off testing tasks, and validate solutions.
- Assist in writing or refining user stories and acceptance criteria when domain expertise is required.
- Provide insights from real-world practice to help improve product usability and workflow design.
- Identify opportunities to improve testing strategies, documentation, and QA workflows.
- Support knowledge sharing between product, QA, engineering teams, and solutions/sales teams
- Contribute to improving internal documentation and product understanding across teams.
Required Qualifications
- Professional experience in one or more of the following domains:
- International student and scholar services (ISSS)
- Employment-based immigration or global mobility
- University international offices
- Immigration case management or visa processing
- Practical knowledge of processes related to:
- Student visas (e.g., F-1, J-1)
- Scholar programs
- Employment visas (e.g., H-1B, O-1, TN, E-3) or similar immigration categories
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex workflows.
- Experience documenting processes or procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience working with immigration or international education software platforms (e.g., Sunapsis, Terra Dotta ISSS, case management systems, or similar tools).
- Interest in product development, software quality, and user experience.
