TÜV SÜD is dedicated to technological progress and safety in society. They are seeking an IT Support Technician to provide technical support for users across the Americas, manage end-user devices, and ensure service continuity while collaborating with the IT team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily technical support for on-site and remote users across the Americas Region, covering hardware, software, and phone system inquiries
  • Manage end-user devices, including setup, rollout, upgrades, and accurate hardware/software inventory tracking
  • Identify and resolve security issues promptly, including virus and malware monitoring and the implementation of necessary fixes
  • Support IT projects from planning through completion and collaborate with other IT team members to ensure service continuity
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for selected internal applications and tools
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, providing timely updates, clear documentation, and professional customer service
  • Align local IT requirements with corporate IT strategy, including contributing to budgeting for equipment and maintenance needs

Skills

  • 1–3 years of experience in end‑user support within a Microsoft server and multi‑platform environment
  • Working knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, and basic server administration utilities
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and follow through on assignments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to document processes clearly
  • Self‑motivated approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience with cabling systems, Vonage, Bomgar Remote Support tools, or help desk ticketing systems
  • Experience providing IT support across multiple sites or regions
  • Experience supporting hardware installations or endpoint equipment rollouts
