Java Software Engineer for E-commerce Platform

You will be working for a US-based technology company with the leading Software, Web and mobile app development for business in North America helping independent retailers adopt and embrace this new key component of their digital marketing solution. The role will work on an amazing team of engineers to continue building out products to meet our retailers digital needs.

We are looking for an experienced engineer in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, Javascript)

The Responsibilities

Develop new products as a member of one of our Scrum teams.

Own and drive technical implementation of product features.

Execute and promote software development best practices, including CI/CD, code scanning, various testing methodologies, and automated build pipelines

Provide guidance, mentoring, and code reviews to more junior Software Developers.

Assist with software designs to meet Product Owners’ needs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA engineers and system administrators, to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software solutions.

Identify and troubleshoot performance issues and implement optimizations to improve overall software
performance.

Proficient in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python).

BS in Computer Science (or related field) OR equivalent experience.

4+ years of relevant work experience.

Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue, Next.js) is required

Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) is required

Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP) is required

Experience with Secure Development Coding practices is a plus

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
