Job Summary

Argano is seeking a JD Edwards CAM (Capital Asset Management) Principal Consultant to serve as a senior functional and strategic leader in delivering enterprise ERP solutions. This role combines deep functional expertise in JD Edwards CAM with principal-level consulting leadership, driving client outcomes, innovation, and alignment with business objectives.

The Principal Consultant is recognized as a subject matter expert internally and externally, responsible for leading complex implementations, shaping solution strategies, and contributing to the development of company capabilities and client success.

Key Responsibilities

Client Delivery & Solution Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end JD Edwards CAM implementations across all project phases: requirements, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Provide expert guidance on CAM business processes and industry best practices. 
  • Define and refine client business requirements; lead fit-gap analysis and solution design.
  • Configure JD Edwards solutions aligned with business needs and enterprise architecture. 
  • Drive system validation, including: 
    • Prototyping (PRT) 
    • Business Process Testing (BPT) 
    • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) 
  • Lead go-live planning, cutover activities, and post-production stabilization. 

Strategic Consulting & Innovation

  • Act as a thought leader, applying innovative approaches to solve complex implementation and integration challenges. 
  • Analyze current systems and data to identify enhancement opportunities. 
  • Contribute to development of company objectives, methodologies, and best practices. 
  • Align technology solutions with client business strategies and long-term goals. 

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead project teams and mentor junior consultants. 
  • Collaborate across functional and technical teams to deliver integrated solutions. 
  • Build and maintain strong executive-level client relationships. 
  • Act independently in determining methods and approaches for complex engagements. 

Delivery Excellence

  • Develop and manage test strategies, scripts, and execution cycles. 
  • Produce high-quality functional and technical documentation. 
  • Ensure successful knowledge transfer to client teams. 
  • Manage multiple concurrent priorities while maintaining delivery quality.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field required 
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred 

Experience

  • 10+ years of JD Edwards experience, with strong focus on CAM 
  • Proven experience leading full lifecycle ERP implementations 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex client engagements. 
  • Strong background in: 
    • Business process design 
    • Fit-gap analysis 
    • System configuration 
    • Testing and deployment
