Make a Difference in the Lives of Students: Become a School Year Tutor with New Jersey Tutoring Corps Inc. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a School Year Tutor, working with students in grades K-8 to close learning gaps in math and literacy. As a tutor, you will play a vital role in helping students build foundational skills and achieve academic success.
This is a part-time, remote opportunity with a competitive hourly rate of $30-$40 per hour, depending on certification. The program will run for 24 weeks, with a schedule of 3 days a week, 9 am - 3 pm, and a maximum of 18 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with small groups of students (1-5) to build math and literacy skills
- Complete daily records on student progress and site needs using provided tools
- Use data to drive instruction and inform teaching practices
- Communicate regularly with site coordinators to provide optimal learning experiences
- Participate in coaching and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
- Experience working with young children, preferably in a teaching or learning capacity
- New Jersey Certification of Criminal History (fingerprint form)
- Proficiency in Google Suite functions, including Google Sheets and Forms
- Professional skills, including attention to detail, timely communication, and job preparedness
- Reliable transportation to travel to sites
