How You'll Make an Impact

You are a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a passion for AI, Machine Learning, and software engineering. You possess a strong drive to learn and excel in solving complex problems using data-driven tools and algorithms. You understand the importance of effective communication and collaboration in achieving successful outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to learn about our customers' needs and challenges.

Measure, inspect, and drive decisions using data.

Design, test, code, and instrument AI/ML platforms/tools.

Develop, evaluate, deploy, and monitor AI/ML models.

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.

Support live platforms/systems, promote proactive monitoring, rapid incident response, and continuous improvement.

Analyze existing platforms/systems and processes to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvements.

Experience You'll Bring

2+ years of experience as an AI/ML engineer or Data Scientist with strong software development skills or PhD in AI/ML

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; A Master or PhD in the area of AI/ML is a big plus

Proven track record of delivering end-to-end solutions using diverse technologies, with Java, C#, GoLang, or Python as your core programming language

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders throughout the product delivery lifecycle

Evidence of innovative problem-solving skills

Experience with using Large Language Models for generative AI projects

Experience with using ML algorithms and platforms

Understanding of data processing techniques

Experience in the financial industry a plus

Technical Skills

Proficiency in at least one of the languages mentioned above

Experience in commonly used LLM models and/or ML packages including deep learning.

Strong data manipulation skills, knowledge of data processing techniques and experience with ML frameworks.

Solid understanding of probability and statistics concepts (distributions, Bayesian inference, maximum likelihood estimation, etc.)

Experience with software development and the SDLC

Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and IaC (e.g., Terraform).

Strong coding skills and a deep understanding of software design principles.

Experience with Cloud technology such as AWS

Familiar with Kubernetes

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package.

Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Pay Range: $87,000.00 - $115,000.00
