About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced and innovative Lead BIM Coordinator to join their fully remote team. This position is crucial for driving the implementation and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes across a diverse range of construction projects. As a remote-first organization, we leverage cutting-edge technology and collaborative platforms to ensure seamless project coordination and execution.

You will be responsible for developing BIM standards, managing model coordination, and providing technical support to project teams. This role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in the US while contributing to significant projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of BIM workflows, strong technical skills in relevant software, and excellent communication abilities to foster collaboration in a virtual environment.

Your expertise will be key to enhancing project efficiency, reducing clashes, and improving overall project delivery for projects originating in the Denver, Colorado region and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain company BIM standards, templates, and protocols. Lead BIM coordination meetings and facilitate clash detection and resolution processes using Navisworks or similar software. Manage the creation, organization, and distribution of BIM models from various disciplines.

Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of project BIM models. Provide technical guidance and training on BIM software and workflows to project teams. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors to integrate BIM into project lifecycles.

Oversee the generation of 3D models, 4D (scheduling), and 5D (cost estimating) integrations. Stay current with the latest BIM technologies, software updates, and industry trends. Assist in the development of BIM execution plans (BEPs) for new projects.

Troubleshoot BIM-related issues and provide effective solutions.

Requirements

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in BIM coordination or management, preferably within a construction or design firm. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, and other relevant BIM software.

Strong understanding of BIM principles, workflows, and best practices. Experience with clash detection, model aggregation, and federated models. Familiarity with 3D modeling, 4D scheduling, and 5D cost estimating principles.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, essential for remote work. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines effectively. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office space.
