You will serve as a sterile trainer and evaluator of competency for sterile compounding staff.

As a group leader and recognized trainer/evaluator, you will assist Supervising Pharmacists ensure compliance with USP 797, 800 (and other applicable chapters) and to compound sterile medications that are safe and effective for patients, under Pharmacist supervision./ppemShift differential is available for overnight shifts./em/pp/ph3strongYou Will:/strong/h3ullipLead a team of sterile compounding technicians and/or sterile support staff in performing sterile compounding activities in compliance with USP 797 and 800 and site SOPs./p/lilipYou will help to ensure team members follow safety and environment monitoring and control procedures as outlined in the Site SOPs and that appropriate PPE is worn while executing daily, weekly, and monthly tasks./p/lilipYou will serve as an Assigned Trainer and competency evaluator for new hire and ongoing sterile compounding and support staff in USP 797 and 800 required core skills, knowledge, and required competencies such as Garbing and Hand Hygiene, Aseptic Technique, and cleanroom suite cleaning assessments./p/lilipCompound sterile medications./p/lilipAssist with compounding equipment calibration and ensure appropriate use of equipment during daily sterile compounding operations./p/lilipPerform the formulation of the solutions and aseptic filling of the solutions/p/lilipPerform daily, weekly and monthly cleanroom suite support responsibilities including, but not limited to, compounding materials and supplies preparation, equipment calibration, cleaning, dishwashing, and sterilization or depyrogenation of equipment, according to facility SOP’s./p/lilipDocument compounding-related and daily, weekly, and monthly activities according to facility SOPs and as required by USP 797 and 800./p/lilipCoordinate with the Pharmacist-in-charge (PIC), Sterile Compounding Manager, Pharmacist, and/or Lead Sterile Compounding Pharmacist for personnel, quality, compliance and regulatory matters./p/lilipCommunicate with Lead Sterile Compounding Pharmacists or Sterile Compounding Pharmacists to report on issues in the cleanroom suite./p/lilipUtilizes equipment as instructed by the pharmacist./p/lilipCompletes training as required by USP 797 and 800 (and related chapters). /p/li/ulp/ph3strongYou Have:/strong/h3ullip2+ years sterile compounding experience or 1+ year sterile compounding plus 1+ year nonsterile compounding experience./p/lilipCurrent registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio AND National Certification (CPhT)./p/lilipCertified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician® (CSPT®) or willingness to complete in the first year of employment./p/lilipStrong communication skills and can work independently./p/lilipFull time role 40 hours per week./p/li/ulp/ph3strongPreferred:/strong /h3ullip3+ year sterile compounding experience in nonsterile to sterile compounding or 1+ year in sterile-to-sterile compounding./p/lilipPrior experience at a sterile pharmaceutical manufacturer./p/lilip1+ year experience in leadership role./p/lilip1+ year as a sterile or nonsterile trainer./p/li/ulp/ph3strongOur Benefits (there are more but here are some highlights):/strong/h3ullipCompetitive salary amp; comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental amp; vision/p/li/ulp /ppemConditions of Employment: /em/pullipThis position will require working with Hazardous Drugs (HD) and would require that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) be worn for the length of working with these drugs.
