Remote positions are open to applicants based anywhere in the continental U.S. Hybrid positions are open to applicants based in the Phoenix, Arizona area. 

Position Summary:

Works on a growing Information Technology Security team to protect the organization’s information, infrastructure, and stakeholders. Designs, builds, and manages security solutions including Identity and Access Management (IAM), endpoint security, firewalls, email security, application security (including software development security) and security awareness. This position requires a hands-on technical specialist who can handle the complex and detailed technical work necessary to establish security systems such as firewalls, monitoring software, encryption technology, cloud security and threat hunting across the enterprise.

Conducts security assessments, develops policies and procedures, and is the subject matter expert for security-related issues. Provide security engineering expertise through all phases of Technology/Project Life Cycle.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Expertise in designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures

Manage/implement design, installation, configuration, setup, testing, troubleshooting, documentation of security solutions including IAM, endpoint security, firewalls, email security, content filtering and security awareness.

Proficient with networks, systems, applications, and cloud security

Proficiency with risk assessment and vulnerability scanning tools, technologies, and methods

Escalation point for security-related incidents

Proactively report possible threats and or vulnerabilities

Proactively research weaknesses and find ways to counter them

Find cost-effective solutions to cybersecurity problems

Information Technology Security representative on IT projects to provide security advice, expertise, and recommendations

Conduct security awareness training

Planning, researching, and developing security policies, standards and procedures

Ensure the tuning and effectiveness of security tools deployed across the environment

Work closely with our Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) and IT teams to review alerts and investigate security incidents

24/7 Availability for Identity & Access Management, Security Incident Response and Escalation

Performs other related job duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technology field or equivalent experience required.

5+ years of total experience with 2+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise information technology security solutions

Hands-on experience with endpoint security, network firewalls, email security gateways, content filtering, IAM, Single Sign On (SSO), windows servers and virtualization technology

Preferred experience: Azure, SSO, Cisco Firewalls, Defender Security, VMWare, EDR, XDR, Cisco Umbrella DNS Security, Hybrid Infrastructure

Knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Products (Office 365, Intune, Azure, Azure VM, NSG’s, Azure Sentinel, ATP, Azure Active Directory)

Relevant and Current Certifications Preferred: e.g., CompTIA Security+, PenTest+, OSCP, CEH, CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CCNP Security, CISA, etc.

Working Conditions:

Ability to thrive in a remote environment

Some travel required.

Requires work outside a traditional Monday – Friday work week, and normal business hours.

This Role's Hiring Range
$68,100—$84,000 USD
