Legal Counsel
We’re looking for a
Legal Counsel at Zerion to take full ownership of legal matters, balancing hands-on work with strategic guidance. This role requires a mix of independent legal execution and managing external counsel and contractors across multiple jurisdictions, including the US. If you're a business-savvy legal expert with strong experience in fintech (especially crypto) regulations and contractual law, we’d like you to join our team!
What you’ll be doing:
Legal Strategy and Risk Assessment: Act as the company’s primary legal expert, providing strategic and operational legal counsel while balancing business objectives and risk management frameworks.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay ahead of regulatory changes in cryptocurrency, fintech, and financial services, advising leadership on necessary adaptations.
Corporate Governance: Oversee corporate matters across multiple jurisdictions, including the US, collaborating with external legal firms and contractors to ensure effective legal support and compliance.
Contract Management and Negotiations: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts with vendors, including service agreements, partnership agreements, and API licensing deals.
Sanction and AML Compliance: Ensure compliance with KYC/AML regulations while providing services to the users or acquiring them from the vendors.
Manage inquiries: Handle inquiries from authorities, investors, and customers by providing responses or preparing appeals as necessary.
Product Compliance: Regularly update and draft Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and other internal legal documents as needed to align with product developments and the Product team’s requirements.
Complete KYC: Manage the Company’s data and complete KYC forms requested by various vendors.
