Job Overview

This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial PT who wants to be at the forefront of remote therapeutic monitoring in orthopedics. You will provide both traditional outpatient physical therapy and cutting-edge RTM services using FDA-cleared wearable devices to track patient adherence and functional progress between visits.

You will have full clinical autonomy over patient care decisions while benefiting from MedHab’s technology platform, device logistics, operational support, and referral coordination with the orthopedic practice.

Responsibilities

Provide Outpatient Physical Therapy
• Evaluate and treat orthopedic patients referred for post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic musculoskeletal conditions, and sports injuries
• Develop individualized treatment plans and deliver evidence-based interventions
• Document services to meet CMS, payer, and professional standards

Deliver Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM)
• Enroll appropriate patients in MedHab’s RTM program using wearable monitoring devices
• Monitor transmitted therapeutic activity data and communicate with patients between visits
• Bill therapist-furnished RTM codes (98975, 98976/98977, 98980, 98981) under the designated NPI

Coordinate Care
• Communicate with the referring orthopedic surgeons regarding patient progress and clinical concerns
• Provide progress reports, discharge summaries, and escalation of complications

We will provide:
• FDA-cleared RTM devices (Steprite, MyNotifiRx) – fully managed, including shipping, tracking, and replacement
• HIPAA-compliant data transmission platform and monitoring dashboard
• Workflow mapping, onboarding support, and technical training
• Non-clinical operational support and program management tools
• Established referral relationship with a Texas orthopedic surgery practice
• Device logistics handled for you – focus on clinical care, not shipping boxes

Requirements
• Active, unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the State of Texas
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program
• NPI number in good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance; enrolled or eligible to enroll with all major payers
• Minimum 2 years of outpatient orthopedic PT experience
• Professional liability insurance ($1M/$3M coverage)
• Comfortable with technology – remote monitoring platforms, EHR documentation, wearable devices
• Strong knowledge of CMS billing and documentation requirements for PT and RTM services
• HIPAA compliance training (current)

Application Question(s):
• Do you hold an active, unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the State of Texas?
