Licensing Engineer - New Grad
Westinghouse Electric Company is an innovative leader in providing clean energy solutions, and they are seeking a Licensing Engineer to contribute to the licensing and regulatory strategy of the operating nuclear fleet. This role involves ensuring compliance with standards and supporting the growth of global nuclear power, particularly within the US fleet.
Responsibilities
- Support more senior engineering personnel in development efforts creating licensing documents for submittal to Westinghouse customers and regulatory agencies
- Collaborate and build relationships with multiple engineering teams to create licensing inputs
- Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory meetings to present technical materials
- Communicate nature and status of work performed to appropriate technical lead and management
- Perform work within established scope, budgetary and schedule requirements
- Evaluate engineering design changes for regulatory requirements
- Help resolve emergent issues with the potential to improve an operating plant license
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering
- 0+ years experience required
- Teamwork oriented
- Learn US and International regulatory processes for nuclear power plants
