Job Description Job Summary This position is responsible for the pulling/picking and loading of all outbound shipments and unloading/movement of all inbound deliveries to the facility. Duties And Responsibilities <ul><li>Operates a propane sit-down forklift. </li><li>Sort shipments for destination and group merchandise to be included with or fulfilled in an order. </li><li>Loading of finished materials for transport and unloading of raw materials. </li><li>Moving products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. </li><li>Inspect the forklift to determine the need for repairs and to guarantee safety. </li><li>Verify piece counts on each pallet and compares to label.</li><li>Material handling of all products. </li><li>Follow shipping work orders. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul>Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities <ul><li>Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. </li><li>Highly motivated with good sound work ethics. </li><li>Must demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail.</li><li>Team player able to follow instructions from management and peers. </li><li>Ability to learn and operate new equipment. </li><li>Ability to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers). </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and math skills with the capability to calculate square footage and batch size. </li></ul>Required Education and Experience: <ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent is required. </li><li>Minimum of one (1) year previous forklift experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Shipping and Receiving. </li></ul>Working Conditions <ul><li>Fast paced manufacturing environment, loading dock, and driveways.
