Job Description

The Lockheed Martin RMS Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) team is seeking a high energy team member with proven experience in Data Administration. The selected candidate will focus on Data Warehouse Operations Support including monitoring job schedules, troubleshooting job failures, and resolving database issues, but will also work a broader range of data- and analytics-related projects supporting the RMS CDAO portfolio as part of the Platform Strategy & Operations team.

The selected candidate must also be able to communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences. Candidate is expected to work independently in a supporting and diverse team environment.

This is a full-time telecommuting position within the continental United States or Puerto Rico.

Primary Responsibilities and Activities:
• Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
• Troubleshoot issues and outages
• Ensure security through access control processes
• Performance and tuning specific to the workload and problem characteristics
• Monitoring of performance, health and status and dataflows
• Perform system diagnostics, troubleshooting and ongoing day-to-day system maintenance

Basic Qualifications
• Strong SQL experience
• Demonstrated problem solving/analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools
• Demonstrated ability of supporting, maintaining, and administering applications
• Demonstrated experience using performance tuning and query optimization techniques
• Understanding of data lifecycle and can interpret and communicate the state of data throughout the processing pipeline
• Ability to document technical solutions in support of standards and best practices
• Basic knowledge of networking components and how they interact with applications
• US Citizenship
• A Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or other relevant area

Desired skills
• Experience working with virtual teams
• Demonstrated expertise with SQL Server, Oracle, or SAP HANA
• Experience with ETL tools including Data Services, SSIS, and SLT
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration/ Continuous Development practices
• Experience specifically in data warehousing solutions
• Understanding of data governance, data security, and data quality
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience in Agile best practices

Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
