As a Management Accountant at LI, you will be responsible for providing accurate financial information, conducting financial analysis enabling senior management in decision-making and reporting to internal and external stakeholders. This service will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and senior management to ensure the company's financial health and contribute to its overall success.

The day-to-day activities of this role will involve looking over the business’s accounts, invoices, working on payroll and accounts payables, giving the successful candidate a well-rounded accountancy exposure.

Your responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working in collaboration with LI’s People Services to deliver business payroll function, using LI payroll system Xero Payroll
  • Ensuring timely and accurate submission of PAYE and pension contribution returns
  • Responding to employee queries and payroll related issues in a timely manner
  • Keeping up to date with changes, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and legislation
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Month end bookkeeping including accruals, prepayments, depreciation journals etc
  • Using the Xero bookkeeping system to analyse and report on business financial progress enabling senior management decision making
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close process
  • Liaising with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out
  • Performing other financial duties as assigned by management

You may be required to undertake other duties assigned by your line manager as appropriate

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • Proficient experience of using finance and payroll software i.e. Xero
  • Experience of using MS Office Products
  • Previous experience in delivering payroll for small/medium size business
  • Strong knowledge and experience in bookkeeping and supporting non-finance colleagues
  • Good database management skills with experience of drawing data from systems and excel to generate reports.
  • Strong analytical skills to review and assess business financial needs
  • Brilliant attention to detail
  • Ability to pull data from various sources and present financial analysis allowing the team to review real-time financial insights
  • Confidence in analysing key financial information to provide feedback to aid managerial planning and commercial decision making that will ensure future growth and value for money for LI Ltd. 

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification such as AAT, CIPP, CIMA or similar is required.

Reporting structure

This role reports into the Finance Manager.
