Job Description:
The primary responsibility of the Manager, OOH is a senior planning/buying position whose responsibility is to negotiate cost efficient media recommendations on behalf of the clients. Supported by the Associate and/or Sr. Associate media buyers, the Manager, OOH coordinates all aspects of the planning and buying process. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

Buying and Execution: 

Negotiate cost efficient schedules on behalf of the clients 

Coordinate all aspects of the planning and buying process 

Work closely with vendors 

Seek creative solutions to enhance buys (Diversified Revenue) 

Proficient understanding of system and tools; ECOS, Telmar, Geopath, OCS, M1 

Manage all discrepancy/billing resolution 

Act as the foundation to ensure the team is successful in the implementation of plans 

Client & Internal Relationships: 

Manage expectations of clients and their deliverables 

Aids Sr. Manager to advise clients on best ways to integrate OOH into their campaigns 

Grow business opportunities within current clients 

Work with Sr. Manager to develop and oversee junior staff, manage time, assure projects are completed on time and adhere to (within) client budget 

Keeps up with the latest trends in media 

Informs client/team of new opportunities or issues 

Builds positive relationships with internal and external teams and sets good example for Sr. Associate level 

Attends all status meetings when appropriate 

Manage relationships with external client vendors 

May be responsible for informing team of new opportunities or issues 

Participates and contributes in face-to-face client or vendor meetings 

 

Strategic Thinking & Leadership: 

Keeps current with market research (industry periodicals, email newsletters, websites).  

Educate the team on key issues/trends regarding client/vendor issues, market landscape changes, internal agency issues, changes in account status, etc. 

Provide guidance to team members nurture/promote team environment 

Be curious on the strategic importance of OOH and how it impacts the wider media mix 

Responsible for constructing and delivering accurate, honest, and timely post performance management documents 

Works with management team (Sr. Manager/AMD/Media Director) to develop strategies for media buys 

Implement key leadership decision quickly and efficiently 

Communications Skills: 

Expresses oneself clearly and concisely in oral communications 

Writes in a clear, compelling, and concise manner 

Organizes ideas and information logically and sequentially 

May assist in the development of media presentations and tactical POVs 

Develop client reports that are clear, compelling, and persuasive 

Ensure key information is provided to team regarding client issues, internal agency issues, changes in account status, etc. 

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: 

Bachelor’s Degree 

3+ years industry experience, including at least 1 year at the Sr. Associate level 

Strong math and analytical skills 

Media vendor negotiation experience 

Knowledge of standard OOH concepts and formats 

Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 

 

The annual base salary range for this position is 60K- 82K. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.  Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
