Manager, Software Engineering
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced hands-on Manager Software Engineer to join our team. If you are passionate about software development and have a strong background in Java backends, Angular/React frontends, Cloud architecture, and Project leadership, this is the perfect opportunity.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
Bachelor Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field
At least 7 years of professional experience in Java and Spring backend development
At least 3 years of experience in frontend development with Angular/React
At least 3 years of experience working with AI or data science projects, interacting with AI models, and building vector search solutions in Elasticsearch
It would be great if you also have . . .
Project architecture and resource management skills with a focus on quality assurance and cloud infrastructure costs
Ability to oversee the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Knowledge of how to automate builds, tests and/or deployments.
What will you be doing in this role?
Design, build and maintain various services and systems
Guide and support developers, and follow coding standards and best practices in engineering, security, and design
Resolve conflicts and remove team blockers
Creating a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement
Ensuring production stability and incident management
Regularly report to stakeholders and share project progress to ensure smooth collaboration and project development
Enjoys working with a diverse group of people with different expertise
Work with a wide range of systems, processes and technologies to own and solve problems from end-to-end
Collaborate with solutions developed by our in-house Data Science Team
Takes pride in delivering products and likes to take ownership
Pay attention to details and develop a result-driven approach
Good written and verbal English communication skills

Darts-ip/Clarivate is a leading Legal Tech company based in Belgium. Darts-ip's core mission is to make global Intellectual Property case law available and easily searchable for our customers through a SaaS application. Our global IT team is responsible for developing and maintaining this application and all associated services.
Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in the CET time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.
