The Role
Cameco is looking for a highly skilled and motivated manager, supply chain governance within our supply chain department. This role willbe responsible for managing a team of specialists, annual planning for supply chain operations, driving risk management, reporting, and ensuring adherence to quality management standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure that all enterprise systems are aligned with business objectives and that key performance indicators are consistently met.
In this role, you will:
- Establish and enforce governance standards for system usage, ensuring compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
- Lead the development and implementation of a robust quality management system for the supply chain function while ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving system functionality, user adoption, documentation, and overall performance.
- Further develop, implement, and maintain a risk management framework for the supply chain function by proactively identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on operations.
- Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of supply chain operations.
- Ensure alignment of KPIs with business goals and strategic objectives while adjusting targets as necessary to reflect changes in the operating environment.
- Work with quality teams to monitor and improve processes to ensure quality issues are identified, documented, and resolved promptly.
- Encourage cross-functional collaboration and the adoption of lean methodologies, Six Sigma, or other process improvement frameworks to enhance operational quality and to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, information technology, engineering, or a related field;
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, systems integration, governance, and/or project management, with a focus on enterprise technologies;
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered;
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors
