Telehealth Physician MD / DO – Intake Consultations (Remote, 1099)
About Baba Care
Baba is rebuilding healthcare for older adults.

Navigating healthcare can be overwhelming. By 2030, over 65 million older adults will make up nearly a quarter of the U.S. population, creating one of the largest and most urgent challenges in healthcare.

Baba makes it easier by pairing older adults with an expert advocate (usually a nurse or social worker) who coordinates their care. Baba's Medicare-covered advocates have supported thousands of families by writing insurance appeals, researching specialists, getting medical equipment and cheaper medications, and scheduling appointments.
More than 60% of the Baba team are former founders, with backgrounds from MIT, Carnegie Mellon, Stripe, Palantir, Liquid AI, and McKinsey

About the Role
As a Physician conducting Intake Consultations at Baba, you will perform brief, structured telehealth visits that establish medical necessity for our care advocacy and navigation programs. These intake visits are the cornerstone of Baba’s service—identifying high-risk conditions, unmet social needs, and confirming eligibility for ongoing care navigation support.

You will collaborate with care advocates, nurse care managers, and our clinical operations team to ensure patients are enrolled safely, compliantly, and compassionately into the right level of care. This is a fully remote, flexible 1099 contractor role ideal for physicians seeking meaningful telehealth work without long-term panel management or after-hours obligations.

What You’ll Do
Conduct 15–20 minute telehealth intake visits focused on medical necessity, social determinants of health (SDOH), and risk identification.
Utilize structured documentation templates within Baba’s platform to ensure accurate coding, SDOH Z-codes, and diagnoses.
Develop and approve individualized care plans aligned with each patient’s medical treatment and social needs.
Collaborate with care advocates and nurse care managers to finalize care navigation strategies.
Participate in a streamlined workflow designed to minimize administrative burden and maximize patient impact.
